Ridge Valley Farms was established in 1994 with Mimi Hiatt's vision of opening a facility for special custom events. The 27 acre property at the base of the Chilhowee Mountains was the ideal setting. The main facility was once the home of Mimi and her three young children, Ross, Ellery, and Holden.
In the year 2001, the Ross Taylor Hiatt Pavilion was constructed as an addition to the main facility. It was dedicated in the name of Mimi’s first son, who passed away on the day of its completion.
Continued enhancements to the main facility included cascading waterfalls and the climate controlled glass enclosure of the main pavilion.
Ridge Valley Farm’s 2008 opening of the Silo Hill Café, which formerly housed Mimi’s show quality llamas, offers private reservations for the finest of cuisine, organic specialty coffees, and heavenly desserts. Lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch buffets are available in addition to reserved business meetings/retreats and celebrations.
